Abhyanga and Swedana (Mind-Body Treatment and Steam Therapy)

$125, 120-minute

Traditional Ayurvedic texts suggest that Swedana (steam therapy) should be performed after Abhyanga with the client lying down comfortably, with the head and neck exposed, rather than in the tent. This prevents overheating and allows for thorough detoxification and absorption. The herbal steam treatment will leave you feeling clear, rejuvenated and deeply moisturized. Medicinal herbs such as lavender, chamomile, rose, ashwagandha, or peppermint will be chosen in accordance with your needs and will help to balance the body's energies, expel toxins, relax the muscles, increase circulation, and nurture the senses. Also, the duo of Abhyanga and Swedana is a part of classical Pancha Karma programs.
Herbs and aromatic oils are selected per the client's needs. While you are getting the steam therapy, relaxing face and head massages are provided for your ultimate relaxation. This treatment leaves you feeling and smelling great!

30-minute Marma Point Therapy

$59, 30-minute

A marma point is a juncture on the body where two or more types of tissues meet, such as muscles, veins, ligaments, nerves, bones or joints and "where the Prana is present." Marma knowledge, along with the knowledge of Ayurveda, has the potential to treat many physical and mental imbalances.
Marma Point Therapy utilizes 107 points or "doorways" into the body and consciousness. Using these energy points on the body, this treatment restores the proper flow of energy (prana) through the entire body and eases specific conditions, while enhancing the natural ability of the body to heal. Your therapist works with pranic energy and expertly applies pressure on marma points with specifically selected organic essential oils. This treatment is wonderful for mental and emotional balance, the nervous system, pain, and more. It removes blockages from the marma points giving physical and psychological relaxation and strength.
There are specific protocols for different conditions: low back, neck, and shoulders discomfort, mind relaxation, face relaxation, and balancing the nervous system.
