Abhyanga and Swedana (Mind-Body Treatment and Steam Therapy)

$125, 120-minute

Traditional Ayurvedic texts suggest that Swedana (steam therapy) should be performed after Abhyanga with the patient lying down comfortably, with the head and neck exposed, rather than in the tent. This prevents over-heating and allows for thorough detoxification and absorption. The herbal steam treatment will leave you feeling clear, rejuvenated and deeply moisturized. Medicinal herbs such as lavender, chamomile, rose, ashwagandha, or peppermint will be chosen in accordance with your needs and will help to balance the body's energies, expel toxins, relax the muscles, increase circulation, and nurture the senses. Also, this duo is a part of classical Pancha Karma programs.
Herbs and aromatic oils are selected per the client's needs. While you are getting the steam therapy, relaxing face and head massages are provided for your ultimate relaxation. This treatment leaves you feeling and smelling great!

**Contraindicated for pregnant and menstruating women and people with high heat conditions**

45-minute Shirodhara

$105, 45-minute

A traditional Ayurvedic therapy, Shirodhara involves gently pouring a continuous stream of warm oil on the forehead to promote deep relaxation and well-being. Shirodhara can reach the depths of the nervous system and of the consciousness, bringing physical, mental, and emotional health. The effect is brought by using a luxurious and nourishing herbalized oil with a tridoshic blend of herbs as ashwagandha, shatavari, bhringaraj, skullcap, and brahmi/gotukola in a base of organic sesame and sunflower oils. Shirodhara is clinically proven to address neurological imbalances such as insomnia and anxiety, and chronic diseases such as sinusitis, tinnitus, and TMJ. One study showed that the Shirodhara treatment significantly impacted those measurable markers of relaxation by decreasing the respiration rate, reducing diastolic blood pressure, and slowing the heart rate.

Pinda Swedana

$109, 60-minute

An ancient and powerful healing treatment for the body. Warm pindas or pouches are filled with rice, sand or herbs and soaked in medicated oil or a milk decoction, then applied to specific areas of the body experiencing pain or discomfort—or the whole body, for neuromuscular and skeletal disorders. The heat from the pouches warms up the tissues of the body and allows for deeper penetration of the medicated oil or decoction. Abhyanga (Ayurvedic mind-body treatment) is administered prior to Pinda Swedana. This treatment is especially good for arthritis, aches and pains, as well as neuromuscular disorders.

30-minute Marma Point Therapy

$59, 30-minute

A marma point is a juncture on the body where two or more types of tissues meet, such as muscles, veins, ligaments, nerves, bones or joints and "where the Prana is present." Marma knowledge, along with the knowledge of Ayurveda, has the potential to treat many physical and mental imbalances.
Marma Point Therapy utilizes 107 points or "doorways" into the body and consciousness. Using these energy points on the body, this treatment restores the proper flow of energy (prana) through the entire body and eases specific conditions, while enhancing the natural ability of the body to heal. Your therapist works with pranic energy and expertly massages marma points with specifically selected organic essential oils. This treatment is wonderful for mental and emotional balance, the nervous system, pain, and more. It removes blockages from the marma points giving physical and psychological relaxation and strength.
There are specific protocols for different conditions: low back pain, neck pain, shoulders pain, boosting metabolism, mind relaxation, face relaxation, and balancing the nervous system.
